The sickness is cyclosporiasis. It comes from a tiny parasite. Many people got sick, and the FDA looked for the cause. They first pointed to Taylor Farms, a big lettuce grower.

Taylor Farms stopped selling some lettuce. This cost them money. They have now started selling these products again. Their own tests showed no parasites in their lettuce.

The FDA still believes some iceberg lettuce is the problem. They just do not know which farm it came from. This causes problems for all lettuce sellers. Shoppers do not know what to trust.

This situation shows how hard it is to track food sicknesses. It teaches us to always wash our produce. We must stay safe even when the source is unclear.
