Editorial Policy

Money Morning Live exists to give everyday investors clear, accurate, independent coverage of the markets. We publish daily as the live newsroom of the Money Morning family. The seven standards below are the institutional trust signals we hold ourselves to on every article, every trading day.

1. Editorial independence

Money Morning Live's newsroom sets its own agenda. No advertiser, sponsor, partner, or outside shareholder decides what we cover, how we cover it, or when a story runs. Ownership and funding are disclosed on our About page.

2. Named, primary sourcing

Every claim of fact should be traceable to a named primary source: an SEC filing, an earnings release, a central bank statement, a company press release, a peer-reviewed study, or an on-the-record interview.

Anonymous sourcing is used sparingly and only when the source has direct knowledge of the matter and would face professional or legal consequences for being named. Anonymous sources are always characterized (for example, "a person familiar with the filing").

3. Verification against original documents

Numbers get checked against the primary document, not against secondary reporting. Charts are labeled with the data source and date. When a company disputes a fact, we go back to the source and update the article if the source is wrong.

4. Transparent corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it in place, we say what changed, and we date the correction at the bottom of the article. Silent edits to correct factual errors are not acceptable. Typo fixes and formatting changes do not require a correction notice.

5. Separation of editorial and advertising

Advertisers do not see, review, or influence editorial coverage before publication. Sponsored content, when it appears, is clearly labeled "Sponsored" or "Advertisement" and is visually distinct from editorial. Affiliate links, where used, are disclosed in the article.

6. Disclosure of conflicts

Writers disclose positions in individual securities they cover. Money Morning Live as a company does not accept payment from issuers in exchange for coverage. We do not front-run our own coverage, and we do not trade around stories we are about to publish.

7. Human editors, AI-assisted

Every article is assigned to a named human editor who is accountable for what runs under their byline. We use software, including large language models, for research assistance, data extraction, and drafting scaffolds. AI is designed to help our editors do their job better, not replace them. You should and can expect real thoughts from our editors on every story.
